UFC 65 - In Sacramento Califonia
WOOO HOOO, On November 18th it is currently rumored that it will be held in Sarcamento Califonia. UFC 65 is when GSP will be fighting Matt Hughes for the Welterweight Title, and Tim Sylvia will be fighting Jeff Monson for the Heavyweight Title.. And.. since Sacramento is 45 minutes from me, YOU BETTER BELIVE I’LL BE THER.. WAR MONSON. It is also rumored that Nick Diaz will be on that card.. Nothing like a home town fight.. (Well he’s from Stockton, but pretty day close).
Winchester Mystery House on Friday the 13th..
So, on Friday the 13th I have some tickets to go to the Winchester Mystery House in San Jose California on a special Flashlight Night Tour.. wooooohooooooooo.. creeeepy.
man what a busy day yesterday & some UFC upsets
yesterday was a pretty busy day filled with birthday parties and UFC 64 (Which had some huge suprises in me eyes). First, Matt Hughes kept the title (Although he was dominated until Penn’s 2 gallon gas tank ran out). Lil Evil lost (WHOA, that fight carried 7-1 odds). Rashad Evans DOMINATED, Lambert didn’t even have a chance. I can’t wait to see Evans vs. Forrest (I question Forests Knockout Power). I think Evans will dominate Forrest and fight Tito Ortiz / Chuck Liddell in Early / Mid 2007 (Depending on outcome of Tito / Chuck fight on Dec 30th).

Benjamin Kevan Jr update
so I decided today I wanted to post up a little on Benjamin Jr. He has been kicking around like a crazy man (seems like he is following his dad’s footsteps.. uh oh). Today I read him “3 Little Pigs”, and tomorrow is “Hercules”. He seems to enjoy the little stories i’ve read him so far. Right after I read, he will usually kick or move around within Sarah’s stomach. I will have to get some pictures of the ultra sound up.
stupid lady at subway
so I went to subway today, and not only did the lady not really understand much of what anyone in the store was saying, everything of theirs seemed to be breaking (The Sprite didn’t work, the Debt card machine didn’t seem to work), and to top it off, the lady forgot to put my spinach artichoke speard on my chicken sandwhich.., at least I didn’t eat some fattening In ‘n’ Out again.
man what a busy day at work
so I had a ton to do today at work, I completed a whoooole bunch though. also working on standardizing a few things that in the past we’ve let slip through the crack, along with bring up some new novell netware servers to retire some older ones. Novell also came out with a few security updates for SLED 10 today, that I installed. Now I just want my blasted SLED 10 Lotus Notes Native Linux Client. I also setup a meeting with the VMWare Engineer to talk a little about our enviroment and how we are going to run the new 2 ESX server enviroment (with Virtual Center of course).
paid off and closed one of my credit cards
so, I had a credit card through West America Bank (which was through first usa) and I have to say, the company that runs their credit card portion is HORRIBLE. I have been a member since 2002, and I was last 1 day on 1 payment about 2 years ago because I wasn’t around to make a payment via internet. So they jacked my APR from 14.99% all the way to 28.xx%. Which sucked, but I knew it was my fault because of the late payment. So 2 or so months ago I decide to call them, to see if they will lower back down to a appropriate amount, they said “Sorry sir, there is nothing I can do for you”, wow.. a company that i’ve been with for 4 years, and they made thousands from, they just turn their back on and say “Sorry there is nothing we can do for you”.. what kind of customer service is that.
Well to make a long story short, I was able to pay the rest of the balance today off, and closed the account (this actually went fairly smoothly). Oh, Sears Department store card got paid off too. :o)
too many birthdays.. eeeek
so, I dunno how many others have this problem, but birthdays are going to drain me of all my money. Had a birthday party yesterday for one of sarahs relatives, have a birthday thing today for her mom, have a birthday thing for one of her cousins baby’s this weekend and and and.. will the madness ever STOP? Do you guys have this problem?
bought the babys first book today
so I decided to go to barnes and noble and buy the baby his first book (yes, I am going to read to him while he’s in the womb). I went with “Disney Storybook Collection: A Treasury of Tales”. Seems to be a pretty good collection of short stories I can read Ben Jr, and also has a bunch of stickers for him when he comes out.
i was a bingo loser last night
sarah, lisa and i went to bingo last night in Vacaville and we were big LOSERS lol. oh well sometimes you win them sometimes you don’t and last time sarah and I did pretty good.
i felt i brought my A game
last night at Jiu-Jitsu training I felt that my skills had increased 2 fold (I would say 10 fold, but that wasn’t the case). I was able to think more while rolling, was able to feel, see and move into and out of subs more fluidly. I worked a bit of Spider and Butterfly Open Guards with my trainer and feel that I am getting pretty comfortable with Spider guard. Hopefully we get to keep working on our MMA style guards in the next coming practices.
my operating system of choice
I had a big long post but IE didn’t render it correcly.. Well, my OS of choice is SuSE Linux 10.1 on my personal machines and SuSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10 on my work production machine.
so today i decided to become more organized
With the baby on the way, and with my life in shambles (ok, just trying to be dramatic there). I decided that I am going to start being more organized at work and at home and learn to seperate the 2 a little better. Can’t really think of a main reason why I feel this way, just a “should be done” and “growing up” type deal I guess.
damn that guy in jiu-jitsu
In my Jiu-Jitsu class last night I was rolling with a guy that weighs 270lbs.. (he outweighs be by 80lbs) and he decides to just neck crank me.. Why in training would you neck crank someone that you out weight by 80lbs..
So today I wake up with a sore neck and I am going to have to ice it up a bit for training tomorrow..
